01/11/22 Weather Warning for Donegal

Met Éireann have issued a Status Yellow weather warning for wind & rain for Ireland from 04:00hrs until 21:00hrs on Wednesday 02nd November. There has also been a Status Orange Marine warning issued by Met Éireann, which is valid from 06:00hrs on Wednesday 02nd November until 00:00hrs on Thursday 03rd November.

Given that a Status Orange Marine warning will be in place from 06:00hrs on Wednesday, there is potential that the Status Yellow wind & rain warning may escalate to an Orange level warning in County Donegal.

The public are being asked to be extra vigilant along coastal areas and on Islands off the coast of Donegal.

Donegal County Council’s Severe Weather Assessment Team are keeping the approaching weather pattern under review and will continue to monitor all local conditions during this period of unsettled weather.
